Texture packs can be created by anyone, and there are thousands to choose from. Find texture packs. There are a variety of sites online that offer texture packs for free download. Many have rankings and categories that you can browse through.
Look for textures that appeal to you; many have previews available. Try to find reputable sites to download from. Download the texture pack. If you saved the folder to your desktop, simply right-click and press 'Copy'. It's time to open Minecraft now! This step can either be done in the game, or from the main menu. From the settings menu, select 'Options.
Here, you will select 'Resource Packs. The resource pack panel will have two columns, with a button at the bottom that says 'Open Pack Folder. Paste the folder you copied earlier here. As soon as you paste the folder, the texture pack will become available for you to choose. After the folder has been pasted, you can exit out of the file explorer window. Now, you should see your new texture pack in the lefthand column. In the image above, you can see that the texture pack is red.
